“Bye bye, bye bye, and bye : Safin

_46310631_safin_quotes

“Bye bye, bye bye, and bye bye again”.  Thats Marat Safin saying bye to tennis and breaking thousands of hearts , including mine. No more staying up just to catch a glimpse of Marat, no more looking forward to a Safin tantrum, no more praying for his win,  tennis is not going to be the same again 😦

    • thats mean, he was one of the most supremely talented player, its just that he was not as focused as Roger. And its nice to know that in a competitive world, there are people like Marat for whom a grand slam is not the entire thing, he took it cool and easy too. and he was extremely good looking too 🙂
i started supporting Safina coz she is Marat’s little sister, but now i like her, though she does make her own life difficult. hate the way she is getting it from everyone for being the No 1 player and not yet winning a grand slam event.

  1. Hey Vidya

“”And its nice to know that in a competitive world, there are people like Marat for whom a grand slam is not the entire thing,””

    I totally agree with u.
I personally would like to be Marat.

Life is not about chasing professional success all the time…….professional success is important but certainly not the most important.

Cheers and do visit my blog.

    A slight off-topic:

For your information, do u wanna know why i tagged u that day?? The four people that i tagged that day were the FIRST FOUR BLOGGERS who put my blog in their blogrolls….that includes you and ringchen……today that number stands at 58 :-)……i just DIDNOT want to forget those bloggers who helped start this blogging journey in the first place…….

    • thank you for tagging me, and u r a very popular blogger, but you know right now my brain has taken a hiatus, i am not able to put my thoughts together. the only thing i can think of is the nursery rhyme one-two buckle my shoe ……….. I’ll definitely do the tag but give me some more time, my thinking cells have taken a vacation 🙂

  2. Remember the aus open semifinal a few years back … Fedex vs Safin … Safin won a marathon match in 5 sets just when Fedex was at his eternal best …. that was the match when I really started liking him as a player ….

He was very very very inconsistent …. although Safin’s best could have beaten Federer’s best !!!!

will miss him throwing racquets all around the court .. 😛

    • his inconsistency was a great mystery, it was hard to predict which Safin would turn up for a match 🙂
However he played i just loved looking at him and drooling over him 🙂

  3. I love Safin. I like angry people who can show their emotions on an international level and get away with it because they are SO cute 🙂

Although he’s already said goodbye on more occasions than one. See, thats another thing I like about him – he cant seem to make up his mind 🙂

Makes him seem more human 🙂

@IP: Keep blogging! Dont be lazy like us! Keep up the good work 🙂

    • i think this year its for real, he is bored of tennis, so that says a lot about him. 🙂
any yes rinchen , we r lazy lol 😀

  4. “i am not able to put my thoughts together. the only thing i can think of is the nursery rhyme one-two buckle my shoe ”

Not able to put your “thoughts together”??

Okay then put your thoughts separate…..haha 🙂

Anyways, Marat Safin might have said “bye, bye” to tennis……..but at least u did not say it to blogging…….which is good.

Cheers and take your time……i am not in a hurry.

    @Rinchen

Good to see u after a long time.
